A skid loader is an engine powered vehicle with an open metal frame construction. Skid loaders come equipped with lift arms at the front of the vehicle which can be fitted with a range of attachments or tools designed to tackle a variety of tasks usually in the construction and agriculture industries. Skid loaders can either be wheeled or tracked vehicles, whereas skid steer loaders are four-wheel drive vehicles in which the wheels on the left side of the skid loader and the wheels on the right side of the skid loader can operate exclusively of one another.
